Although deep in the belly of winter, the fires of progress are steaming up the windows of the Southbound office. While we are still bathing in the warm glow of the last Southbound Festival, our sights are firmly fixed on the impending summer and the next instalment of your very own Music, Camping and Arts Festival.

As well as ticking off our wish list of the greatest musicians in the universe, we’ve also been busily bunkered down in cyberspace, tweaking the Sunset Events website for your mouse-clicking leisure. Give us a bell, and come on in for a virtual cuppa. Let us know what you think of the lacquered sheen of our new baby. Tell your nanna.

Most importantly, we’ll be inviting you shortly to update your subscriber information. As a member of the much-esteemed Sunset subscriber list you’ll be the first to receive all Southbound news and also be first in line to secure your Southbound tickets – long before the masses. Registration for pre-sale tickets opens shortly, so keep an eye on your inbox as we’ll let you know details soon.

The majority of tickets to The Southbound Festival will be allocated to subscribers who enter this year’s ballot. Tell the world, spread the happiness.

In bigger news, this year Southbound has moved to a 2-day format, with a diverse range of acts appearing exclusively to Friday and to Saturday. As such, non-campers with tickets for Saturday will for the first time have access to limited tickets to the Friday night Entertainment program. Expect more news on this in the coming weeks.

Finally, we want to thank all subscribers from the bottom of our Southbound heart for all of your messages, flirty emails and smiley faces after Southbound 2008. It warmed us to the cockles.
