Harlequin League

Harlequin League

Since their inception in 2007, Harlequin League have wasted no time in forging a reputation as a captivating and exciting live act. Harlequin League recently cemented their progression through the ranks with the release of their debut EP We Used To Be Gods, Now We're So Plain.

Recorded with respected Melbourne producer Woody Annison (Children Collide, Red Riders, Rocket Science, Dardanelles), Harlequin League's first official recorded effort represents a melting pot of influences, mixing gritty post-punk with ambient undertones and channelling the eclectic pop of the UK new wave of the late seventies with enough innovative and contemporary tones to stand out from the imitators.

Having been the first choice support for the likes of The Whip (UK), Dukes Of Windsor, End Of Fashion, Expatriate, The Cops, The Paper Scissors and Bluejuice, as well as a 2008 WAMi for Favourite Newcomer...the Harlequin League train thus far has been unstoppable. Get on board, at Southbound.
