Jim Beam and Sunset Events are offering one lucky band the opportunity to perform on stage at the West Coast Blues 'n' Roots Festival - Saturday 18 April 2009 at The Fremantle Esplanade Reserve.

The winning band also receives an awesome sound equipment prize valued at $5000 from Jands.

All heats are FREE entry

Heat 1: Wednesday 11 March - Clancys

Heat 2: Thursday 12 March - Norfolk Basement

Heat 3: Thursday 19 March - Swan Hotel Lounge

Grand Final: Wed 25 March - Mojos Bar

To apply you must be an unsigned WA artist, with blues 'n' roots ‘fit'. Applications must be received electronically by 5pm on Wednesday 4 March 2009 - send to bruna@sunsetevents.com.au

Include in your application - your Band Name, Band Members, Band Bio, Website and a Music sample (please attach a song to the email, no bigger than 6MB)

Breakthrough heat and final supporters will also be in the running to win a double pass to the West Coast Blues ‘n' Roots Festival!

BREAKTHROUGH FACEBOOK COMPETITION

In conjunction with Breakthrough band competition, Jim Beam and Sunset Events will run an adjoining Facebook competition for entrants of Breakthrough.

Bands will be eligible to win this competition by creating a ‘fan page' for their band on Facebook titled ‘Pick us to win the Jim Beam Breakthrough Studio Prize (band name) and then by gaining the largest number of fans on their page.

The prize given will be $700 worth of studio time at a recording studio of their choice and a ticket to West Coast Blues 'n' Roots for each member of their band (max 5 tickets).

Please note: You must be over 18 to enter the West Coast Blues 'n' Roots Breakthrough competition and all venues are licensed.
