Breakthrough - Blues 'n' Roots

BREAKTHROUGH WINNER UNVEILED

For the last few weeks Fremantle has been alive to the sounds of bands vying for their possie on the West Coast Blues 'n' Roots bill.

The Breakthrough Final at Mojo's Bar on Wednesday was a scorcher. Battling it out for their spot on the stage as well as a $5000 music equipment prize from Jim Beam and Jands were local blues rock wunderkinds Black Board Minds, the dreamy stylings of Tim Nelson And His Infidels and the wild and inspired Mister And Sunbird.

Over 200 packed in to watch the aural battle unfold, and to see Mister And Sunbird emerge winners. Check them out here and catch them at the beautiful Fremantle Esplanade Reserve on Saturday, April 18.
