Although formed in Boulder, CO, Chairlift quickly headed for the bright lights of Brooklyn. It proved the right move at the right time, for pop magicians were aplenty in the form of MGMT, Yeasayer and Mixel Pixel. Their sound quickly developed into a hypnotic yet tongue-in-cheek attack of synth-pop. The world soon started to take notice. The release of their debut album, Does You Inspire You, consolidated the hype with huge success that has made them one of the most name-checked bands of the year.
